<\/p>\nOn February 12, a monitoring session was held in Ivano-Frankivsk to review the interim results of the implementation of the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Education Development Strategy for 2023-2027.<\/p>\n
The event brought together community leaders, local council members, educators, and members of the working group involved in developing the Strategy.<\/p>\n
Here are some key results:<\/p>\n
Preschool education:
\n– the share of preschool educators under the age of 35 increased from 39% to 42%;
\n\u2013 coverage of children aged 3-5 years by preschool education is rising, with rural areas seeing an increase from 53% to 56%;
\n\u2013 99% of preschools are equipped with shelters, enabling in-person learning.<\/p>\n
School education:
\n– the average class size is increasing, while the share of teachers instructing three or more subjects is decreasing, indicating effective optimization of educational institutions;
\n\u2013 the percentage of students provided with transportation according to their needs is rising;
\n\u2013 the share of institutions with high-speed Internet access is growing;
\n\u2013 unlike in preschool education, there is an outflow of young teachers under 30 in general secondary education.
\n\u2013 99.8% of the general education facilities are now equipped with shelters.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Extracurricular Education:
\n– forty out-of-school education institutions (OSEIs) now offer STEM-related clubs;
\n\u2013 the age distribution of students in OSEIs shows a greater focus on children aged 7-10, whose share is increasing;
\n\u2013 girls continue to make up the majority of OSEI students (65.2%), while the proportion of boys has decreased by 4%;
\n\u2013 in youth sports schools (YSS), boys still constitute the majority (71.5%), but the share of girls has begun to increase by 1.5%.<\/p>\n
Vocational (Vocational and Technical) Education:<\/p>\n
\u2013 the share of ninth-grade graduates choosing vocational education for further studies has increased (from 41.7% to 43.4%).<\/p>\n
– at the same time, the percentage of employed VET graduates by profession slightly decreased (from 71.2% to 68.7%).<\/p>\n
During group discussions, participants of the monitoring session identified projected indicator values to be achieved in 2025, 2026, and 2027. They also outlined priority steps to reach the set goals for 2025-2027.<\/p>\n
